Policies

Computer Use Policy

Internet computers will not be used for illegal activity, to access illegal materials or to access materials that are considered obscene.

Installation, downloading or modification of software is prohibited.

Prompt payment is required by users who incur charges for printing.

Users must sign up at the Circulation desk to use a computer.

Access sessions will be limited to 60 minutes, unless otherwise authorized by the library staff. Usage is limited to 30 minutes when other patrons are waiting to access the internet.

Users must end their session and leave the terminal when asked to do so by authorized library staff.

Users will respect the privacy of other users, and will refrain from attempting to view or read material being used by others.

By mutual agreement, two persons may share one station as long as their behavior or conversation does not disturb other users or library staff.

If the sharing of one computer becomes disruptive to other patrons, the library staff will end their session and the offenders must leave the building.

Children under 10 may not use library computers and equipment unless accompanied by a responsible person, 18 or older.

Adult Business and School Homework have priority

The Library reserves the right to expel any person whose behavior is judged to be disruptive or inappropriate to the library environment or prevents effective use of the library by other customers. Persons who fail to observe this code will be asked to leave the building or will be subject to arrest.
