Help us decorate the library by making a mural! We will provide the crayons, pencils, and a huuuuuuuge sheet of paper. All you have to do is meet us there and draw, draw, draw! The completed mural will be on display in the children’s room.

Welcome to Cook the Books, where foodies meet to explore the art of cooking. Each month we’ve chosen a new cookbook to try, and we have always got something for everyone. Create mouth-watering dishes at home, then come to the library to enjoy a meal together with all the recipes that patrons chose to make.

Safe@Home, 1:00 PM: For grades 4-6 (in the fall). REGISTRATION REQUIRED. CALL 618-475-3255. This program provides kids with important safety training that will help them be prepared to stay home alone.
Intro to Safe Babysitting, 3:00 PM: For grades 6+ (in the fall). REGISTRATION REQUIRED. CALL 618-475-3255. This program is designed to introduce older kids to child care and development.
Car Seat Safety Checks, 2:00-4:00 PM: Protect your most precious cargo with a free car seat safety check by a qualified inspector!
Free, while supplies last: the first 50 kids to visit the library on May 9 will receive a free ID kit from the National Child ID Program. Limit one per child.
